Photography printed on aluminum is what I believe does my works the best justice. I also am able to create even larger custom sized images to suit the particular space intended. Finally, if you are interested in smaller prints on either canvas or matted on archival paper suitable for framing. If interested in obtaining smaller or other formatted prints, please reach out.

I like to unveil beauty in the normal as well as the extraordinary. I love travel, but often shoot in my own backyard in Gladstone. Many of my favorite images have been created right here at home. I feel that we are all surrounded by beauty but, so often rush from one event in life to the next without seeing the wonder. Forget smelling the roses, many times we don’t even see them because our cell phones are blocking the view. I feel blessed to have found a medium that allows me to share with others the beauty I see. While some of my work is from well-known and often traveled sights, frequently it’s right next door. One of my favorite shots was taken near a lighthouse on the west coast, but the shot isn’t of the lighthouse. A simple tree and maintenance shed with a path separating them. The tree, pushed by centuries of coastal winds, bends over the path, the shed has paint peeling, and both show their age. The day was dreary and drizzly, everyone was huddled in their jackets and hurrying to get to their destination; the lighthouse that I honestly didn’t find that interesting. I just felt a peace or rightness about the scene, and I think that others feel that also when they look at the shot.
History
I was born into a family of artists. My grandmother taught oil painting and my grandfather was a cabinet/ furniture maker and did carvings, once making his own chess board, table and all pieces. He also dabbled in jewelry towards the end of his life and I have some of both still today. My mother is a graphic artist and enjoys sketching. Even my children enjoy artistic outlets. So it was no surprise that I would eventually discover my ‘artistic eye’.
